Blogger Highlight: The Foodie Runner’s iFit Wearable Review
Hi everyone! The Foodie Runner here with the last installment of my Blogger Highlight Series. Thank you so much for following along with my posts over the past few months—it’s been a blast!
Today, I wanted to talk about my iFit wearable. I’ve had this activity tracker for 3.5 years, and it’s held up incredibly well in that time. Especially since my husband has stolen it from me on multiple occasions because he loves it as much as I do.
There are so many activity trackers out there, so what makes the iFit wearable the best of them all? Let me tell you!
The band is comfortable and durable. I often forget that I’m wearing it. I especially love how the clasp is designed because it really locks into place, and I don’t have to worry about the band popping out from its strap.
The main feature of the iFit wearable is activity tracking and it’s pretty impressive that the Vue can automatically detect when you switch activities (like from walking to running and vice versa). I’m pretty forgetful, especially since I became a mom (#mombrain), and so I like that I don’t have to remember to change the activity on my band.
As a busy mom, I love the long battery life! That’s one less thing that I have to charge, and when you’re getting such great stats on your daily activity and sleep, the last thing you want is for your tracker to be hooked up to a charger every other day—I mean you’d be missing out on counting so many valuable steps! The battery life on the iFit lasts 7 days! Impressive!
When I’m at work, I can get stuck at my desk for hours without thinking to get up. My iFit wearable is set to remind me to get up and walk, which is great. I get in a few extra steps, get to stretch my legs, and get some sunshine. Win, win, win.
The sleep tracking on the iFit wearable is great as well. It’s really helpful to be able to see the quality of your sleep, and since I’m highly motivated by statistics, knowing that my sleeping patterns are going to be recorded, really helps me stay on track with the bedtime I’ve set for myself. Related to the sleep functions, my husband’s favorite feature of the band is the vibrating wake alarm. He is a very light sleeper who loves his sleep, so he loves that I can set my morning alarm (that goes off at 4:45am most days) to vibrate on my wrist instead of having a loud, obnoxious alarm go off on my phone and wake up the whole household.
As you can tell, the iFit wearable records so many important statistics on your daily movements, but that information wouldn’t be any good if you couldn’t easily assess it. The mobile app that pairs with the band is really comprehensive and shows you statistics on all of the information that your band records. I also really like that you can easily read all of your stats right on the face of the band when you don’t want to pull out your phone.
